The physicians and staff of RBA understand infertility treatment can be a stressful experience and we are dedicated to providing the clinical and emotional support you need. "Healthy Spirit, Healthy Body" is an educational series designed to keep you informed and to enhance your infertility treatment journey. We have put together a dynamic team committed to your physical and emotional wellbeing. The "Healthy Spirit, Healthy Body" is free of charge and offered exclusively to current RBA patients. The series will include presentations by experts in… Genetics Counseling; Nutrition; Acupuncture; Yoga; Infertility Counseling; Attorney-Third Party Reproduction; Perinatal Specialists - High Risk Pregnancy.

Free Monthly In-House Support Group Meetings
Many patients find that participating in a support group, decreases their stress and the sense of the isolation that they feel while experiencing infertility. RBA and Dr. Lauren Berman have joined together to offer monthly in-house support group meetings (Exclusively for current RBA patients). The monthly support group is a safe place for women who are experiencing struggles on their journey to parenthood to talk freely about their feelings and their concerns. The meetings will be held at the Atlanta-Main Office location on the First Tuesday of each month. Each meeting will start promptly at 6:30PM. Dr. Lauren Berman
Dr. Lauren Magalnick Berman has been a practicing clinical psychologist in the Atlanta, Georgia area since 1989. She has served as Clinical Faculty at Georgia State University Counseling Center, Administrative Director and Clinical Supervisor of Metropolitan Counseling Services, Consulting Psychologist to Decatur Hospital’s Eating and Addictive Disorders Unit, Adjunct Faculty at Argosy University and affiliate staff at Northside Hospital. She is currently in private practice with Glenridge Mental Health Associates.
Dr. Berman received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Emory University. In 1986, Dr. Berman was a recipient of a Rotary International Graduate Scholarship and she conducted her dissertation research on stress and illness in Israel.
Dr. Berman specializes in the assessment and treatment of psychological issues in infertility, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety. She has worked extensively with couples and individuals who are planning to utilize egg donors and gestational carriers in their family planning. She also specializes in women’s issues, marital concerns, and chronic illness adjustment. Dr. Berman has been an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner for the past 9 years and she has used EMDR for the treatment of reproductive trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders, self-esteem, sexual dysfunction and executive (work) performance enhancement.

Dr. Kaplan holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Georgia State University and is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Georgia. He has teaching experience at both Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University. Dr. Kaplan has been in private practice since 1990 at Cherokee Counseling and Psychological Associates and specializes in providing individual, couples, group, and infertility counseling. In his clinical practice he specializes in helping clients with anxiety, panic, depression, relationship issues, and lose self-esteem. He also works with survivors of trauma and their partners.
